Humanity has worked in groups since the dawn of time. Hunting woolly mammoths, building shrines to connect with a higher purpose, developing vaccines to save millions of lives—it was all done in groups that worked together. Today, in some respects, little has changed: success often rides on our ability to communicate to our groups and work together in teams.
We understand the vital relationship between communication and recognition, and we’ve worked hard to make it even easier to recognize others with Awardco by integrating with Microsoft Teams. If you use Microsoft Teams as a communication tool in your organization you can link your Awardco platform to Teams and then proceed to recognize, reward, and build a culture of engagement in the same tool your organization uses for communication each and every day.
Linking your Awardco platform to Microsoft Teams is incredibly easy so you can quickly begin to recognize in Teams using Awardco. This powerful integration makes sure any recognition made in Teams also posts to the Awardco platform recognition feed. Rewarding recognition has never been easier to introduce into your organization.
Recognition works when it's really simple, and we understand that. We wanted to be able to offer users the ability to recognize using their existing internal communication tools, so we integrated with Microsoft Teams to make that possible. More communication tool integrations are coming in the future, but we're excited to have Microsoft Teams on board. - Steve Sonnenberg, CEO
Recognizing in Microsoft Teams
After linking your Awardco and Teams accounts (Learn how here) anyone in your organization will be able to recognize by typing “recognize” directly into Microsoft Teams.
After typing “recognize” and hitting enter you will see a recognition pop-up that asks who you want to recognize. After searching for your chosen person you will have the option to select which program to use to recognize, enter any recognition comments, and award points, if applicable.
After pressing submit the recognition will immediately be posted to Microsoft Teams and the recognition feed in the Awardco platform. If recognition approvals are needed the system will intuitively know this based on which program was selected to recognize. After approval the recognition will be posted in Teams and Awardco as normal.
The Awardco & Microsoft Teams integration is another step in our mission to inspire human connection through rewarding recognition, and we're excited to share that journey with you.
