Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Last Updated: 1 December, 2022

Our people are the most valuable asset Awardco has. We recognize that the collective sum of our employees’ individual differences, life experiences, and talent represents a significant part of Awardco’s culture and achievement. Therefore, Awardco embraces our employees’ diverse experiences and perspectives.

Diversity and inclusion are related and equally important concepts. Diversity includes but is not limited to differences in race, ethnicity, sex, gender, sexual orientation or identity, disability, religion, age, national origin, military or veteran status, and other categories protected under state or local law. Diversity also includes differences in backgrounds, experiences, perspectives, thoughts, interests, and ideas. Inclusion means ensuring that all employees are valued, heard, engaged, and involved at work and have full opportunities to collaborate, contribute, and grow professionally.

We expect every Awardco employee - regardless of position - to actively create an inclusive work environment where employees can bring their full selves and contribute their best work. Our mission is “We exist to recognize the good in each of us and reward the value we bring to each other”. This standard is communicated from day one of employment and we encourage employees to incorporate this mission statement in their work with others at the company.

As a fast-growing startup, Awardco is proud of its efforts to stay ahead of the curve in fostering diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. We incorporate these values into our practices and policies regarding talent selection, compensation and benefits, professional development, and more.

Awardco is proactive in providing an inclusive environment for all and is evident in everything we do! Some examples of Awardco’s diversity and inclusion efforts include, but are not limited to:

  • Awardco introduced its first Employee Resource Group (ERG), “Recognize Women,” in 2020 to aid in our efforts to attract and retain female talent. Since its inception, female representation at Awardco has increased from less than 20% in 2020 to over 30% as of June 2022, surpassing comparably-sized businesses in our industry and area.
  • Awardco introduced its LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Group in 2021, “Recognize Pride”. At its inception, this group has worked to provide a safe and inclusive workplace.
  • We believe in having a flexible work environment and encourage full-time employees to utilize our unlimited PTO to observe any religious holidays.
  • In 2022, Goodness Grants were introduced. These grants recognize members of the community around the country for the good they do. Nominations are open for all! Each month a nominee is chosen and is awarded $1000 to continue their good efforts.

Fostering diversity, inclusion, and belonging is an ongoing work that requires constant vigilance and care. As such, Awardco is continually improving policies and practices to meet the needs of an ever-growing workforce. We are committed to identifying and exploring opportunities to adjust policies and practices to reinforce our commitment to respect and help the different populations we serve. Awardco’s DEI Manager regularly works with Human Resource and Executive leadership, as well as ERG leadership, to ensure Awardco practices are consistent with the standard of excellence we have set for our workplace.

Please read this policy carefully and openly and make every effort to understand the importance of diversity and inclusion and the ways we can accomplish these objectives together. If you have any questions regarding this policy, please contact Human Resources. You can download a copy of our statement here.
